Palmetto Bay Welcomes Bright Adventures Academy with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

As the pandemic subsides, there are efforts to promote and strengthen local businesses. One such effort has the Village of Palmetto Bay and the Palmetto Bay Business Association in a new partnership effort to welcome and highlight new businesses in the Village with ribbon-cuttings.

On May 15, Bright Adventures Academy had their ribbon-cutting ceremony and Mayor Karyn Cunningham highlighted the event remarking that they are the 15th active school in the Village of Palmetto Bay adding “The Village is great place to live, work, learn and play!”

Owner Lilliam Norda-Gomez remarked, “It is an honor to join so many great schools in Palmetto Bay and we are excited. We know that the reason people move here is because they have so many great educational choices and we are thrilled to become part of this community.”

The Palmetto Bay Business Association, along with Mayor Cunningham, Councilpersons Cody and Matson, plus Village Manager Nick Marano joined Lilliam and her husband Jeanny Gomez, 10-year old daughter Valeria and other family in a great ribbon-cutting. “It was fantastic to open our school here. Even through Covid-19 and its restrictions, the process was smooth,” explained Lilliam. “And today’s event was amazing, extraordinary, just perfect. I couldn’t imagine a better way to start our ‘bright adventure’ surrounded by such support.”

There was plenty of food on hand, a well-used bounce house and lots of friends and family. And that was a perfect environment for Bright Adventures Academy to open in, as school is so much about “it takes a village” mentality.

The school is proud to boast an early drop off of 6:30a to busy parents who need to get a jump on their commute. They are also open until 6:30p providing everything from simple daycare to  creative curriculum pre-school to a VPK program (begins in August).
