Palmetto Bay Welcomes GreatFlorida Insurance with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

As the pandemic subsides, there are efforts to promote and strengthen local businesses. One such effort has the Village of Palmetto Bay and the Palmetto Bay Business Association PBBAonline.com in a new partnership effort to welcome and highlight new businesses in the Village with ribbon-cuttings.

The first such ribbon-cutting ceremony occurred May 7. GreatFlorida Insurance franchisee Tamara Mourino moved into Palmetto Bay after 12 years in business elsewhere.

Tamara recalls, “The actual process of starting the business in Palmetto Bay wasn’t particularly smooth, likely due to COVID, but after we got past all that process it was particularly satisfying and liberating. Once the ribbon-cutting happened, I felt we could really get down to business, helping educate people for their insurance needs.” Mourino said she is excited and motivated by the efforts of the Palmetto Bay Business Association and the Village, especially Mayor Cunningham and new Village Manager Nick Marano.

“The support of local business owners has been invigorating and very much appreciated,” said Mourino.
